Sunshine State sensation Solja Da Money Man sizzles on a hot new single with rap game vet Cassidy, “Fuck Up a Bag.” Here Solja packs a powerhouse punch under the established umbrella of a new-to-him music label, Platinum Camp Records.
The dynamo CEO of Platinum Camp, Daddy BIGG$, recently said he signed the emerging Pensacola-based talent because his sound imbued a Deep South realness, and that he was “looking to establish a Platinum Camp South.” The mogul himself has joined too many to name here in a Hip-Hop migration from NYC to ATL.
Solja Da Money Man has had over a million listens on Spotify of previous album "Blinded by Pain" so far, with 500,000+ views of his dramatic music videos on YouTube. This Solja of the streets appears destined for much greater glories, with his 2021 record drop already generating major music insider industry buzz.
Solo track “Run Up the Bag” states in no uncertain terms that this guy means business, while he was recently quoted at cultural news site American Culture Reporter humbly yet optimistically stating, “The future still holds a lot more growth for me as an artist.”
As the pandemic finally begins to subside, a major 2021 tour could also become a reality rather quickly. Solja said, “I’m grinding hard in Florida. Getting money and ready for everything to open back up all the way in America. Love to get back out on the road doing full house shows as soon as possible.”
Born poor in rural Alabama before moving to inner-city Pensacola as a boy, Solja first began rapping in the 7th grade. He left the streets to work in the hardscrabble oil industry, where his “rap game was funded by sweat and hard work.”
Solja Da Money Man continues his meteoric ascent from such humble beginnings, while always remaining true to the gritty city streets that brought him up, especially his hood of Mayfair. He’s “forever reppin' The Great 8Fifty” - so-called for the area code of Pensacola - adding, “Of course, I’m still street at heart.”
Rapper TopBoy Mare Releases Single and Video “2DaTop”:
TopBoy Mare goes there with a dynamic new single soon-to-be heard beating out of your car stereos this summer, as the country heats all the way up after the big chill of the global pandemic.
The native of Fort Gaines, Ga., a small city in the Peach State, and graduate of Randolph Clay High School, first jumped in the recording booth and recorded the track “First Day On” after some of his homeboys heard him freestyle and requested that he rock the mic. From that day forth, the young talent has stayed on.
He recently did a distribution deal with Platinum Camp Records South, and the vibrant video accompanying the new single is sure to draw in many viewers. Here on “2DaTop,” TopBoy projects in a Deep South fluid drawl. He’s calling his shot and banking it in, eyes locked on the prize. And, of course he’s bringing his crew along for the ride, too: 2DaTop we go. For more info follow @PlatinumCampRecords
